Philly Nachos
This was the best steak nacho's around. More than enough for one person. I will definitely comeback to Abbey Road the next time I'm in Apex, NC. Keep up the great work.
Onion Rings
The onion rings at Abbey Road Tavern were already exceptional, but what truly set them apart was the side of ranch that came with them. This wasn't just any ranch---it was creamy, rich, and clearly house-made, with a flavor that hinted at fresh herbs and a perfectly balanced tang. The cool, velvety texture of the ranch was the perfect contrast to the hot, crispy onion rings. Its subtle garlic and dill notes elevated each bite, complementing the natural sweetness of the onion and the savory crunch of the batter. The ranch was thick enough to cling to the rings without overwhelming them, ensuring that every dip delivered just the right amount of flavor. This pairing was a match made in heaven. The tanginess of the ranch cut through the richness of the fried batter, while its creaminess added a comforting, indulgent element that made the onion rings impossible to put down. By the end of the meal, I found myself using the ranch as a dip for just about everything---it was that good. At Abbey Road Tavern, it's clear that attention to detail extends to every aspect of the meal, and their ranch is a shining example of that commitment. Together with their perfectly crispy onion rings, it created a side dish that was both comforting and unforgettable.

George
The George burger at Abbey Road Tavern is a masterclass in simplicity done right. From the moment it arrived, its no-frills presentation hinted at the satisfying, timeless flavors that were about to unfold. This burger isn't trying to reinvent the wheel---it's celebrating the classics, and it does so flawlessly. The patty was the highlight, a perfectly cooked beef patty that struck the ideal balance between juicy and flavorful. It had a beautiful sear on the outside, locking in all the rich, beefy goodness. The cheese was perfectly melted over the patty, wrapping it in a creamy, savory layer that complemented every bite without overpowering the other ingredients. The toppings were as fresh as they come. Crisp lettuce added a refreshing crunch, while the juicy tomato slices brought just the right amount of sweetness and acidity. The raw onions were thinly sliced, adding a sharp bite that enhanced the burger without being too overpowering. The pickles were tart and crunchy, cutting through the richness of the meat and cheese with a satisfying zing. The bun was soft yet sturdy, lightly toasted to give it a hint of warmth and structure. It held the burger together beautifully, never falling apart, even as the juices from the patty and toppings soaked in. Every element was thoughtfully balanced, creating a harmonious bite from start to finish. The George burger is proof that sometimes the simplest things are the hardest to get right---and Abbey Road Tavern nails it. It's a straightforward, classic burger that hits every note perfectly, leaving you nostalgic for the best burger you've ever had as a kid, but with the quality and care that only a place like Abbey Road can deliver.
Chicken Philly Cheesesteak
The best chicken Philly cheesesteak I've ever had was at Abbey Road Tavern, a hidden gem that completely redefined my expectations for this classic sandwich. It arrived at my table steaming hot, the aroma alone making my mouth water. The roll was everything a sandwich needs---soft and airy on the inside but sturdy enough to hold up under the mountain of flavorful ingredients. It had a subtle toasty crunch that added just the right texture to each bite. The chicken was the star of the show---juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. It was chopped into bite-sized pieces and cooked to golden perfection, with a subtle smoky flavor that hinted at the grill. The sandwich was generously loaded, ensuring you got a hearty helping of chicken in every bite. The cheese was a creamy, melted blanket of provolone that infused every crevice of the sandwich, binding the chicken together in rich, cheesy goodness. The sauteed onions and green peppers added a satisfying crunch and sweetness, balancing the savory profile of the chicken and cheese. Everything melded together into an irresistible symphony of flavors and textures. And then, the fries---oh, the fries! They were golden and crispy, with just the right amount of salt and a light seasoning that made them addictive. They came with a side of house-made ranch that was so good, it could have been a meal on its own. Creamy, tangy, and perfectly spiced, it was the ideal companion to the fries and even made its way into a few bites of the sandwich. Abbey Road Tavern doesn't just serve food---they create an experience. That chicken Philly cheesesteak was pure comfort on a plate, and I'd go back in a heartbeat to relive it.
